We have been advised that Allianz, CGU & QBE have officially withdrawn from offering insurance renewal to the Auto Recycling sector.
The withdrawal of Insurance Companies from the Auto Recycling Industry in Australia can be largely attributed to the lack of ability of insurers to properly assess business risk. Insurers have difficulty distinguishing between Professional & Compliant Auto Recyclers, and the rogue operators that exist in the Industry.
Due to overwhelming feedback from Certified Recyclers regarding this issue, ARAA is entering into discussions with two brokers to try to put together an Insurance package relevant to our industry.
